​Haripad Block Panchayat is one of the prominent local government bodies in Alappuzha district of Kerala. It has this institution plays a crucial role in coordinating and implementing rural development activities in the Gram Panchayats. Haripad, located in the culturally rich and geographically diverse central Kerala, is well known for its historical significance, agricultural activities, educational institutions and strong public participation.
                 ​The Block Panchayat acts as an important administrative link between the Gram Panchayats and the district-level administration. This institution mainly focuses on integrated development planning, implementation of welfare schemes, infrastructure development, promotion of livelihoods, ensuring social justice and sustainable local governance.

            Haripad Block Panchayat envisions a people-centric governance system with priority given to transparency, accountability, innovation and inclusive development. Through effective leadership, participatory planning and coordinated service delivery, this block has been able to make remarkable contributions in the areas of health, education, sanitation, women empowerment, agriculture, poverty alleviation and environmental sustainability.

       Major development activities implemented during this period ​Road Development: Improvement and modernization of rural roads were ensured through annual development plans, thereby increasing transport facilities and connectivity.

     Fishermen's Welfare: Schemes for distribution of boats and fishing nets were implemented to improve and strengthen the livelihood of fishermen.
​Pilgrim Benefits: Paddy seed subsidy scheme was made available to paddy farmers to promote agricultural productivity.

      Keralam Haritham Project: ‘Keralam Haritham’ project was implemented for coconut farmers.
​Manjal Prabhatham Project: ‘Manjal Prabhatham’ project was launched for farmers cultivating turmeric.
​Dairy Development: Subsidies were provided for fodder and milk production to support dairy farmers.
​Differently Disabled Welfare: Side wheel scooters were distributed to ensure freedom of movement, equality and social inclusion for the differently abled.

   ​Art Fairs: Art fairs and inclusion programs were organized for the differently abled.
​Cultural Centers: Cultural centers and libraries were established in Scheduled Caste colonies.
​Saksham Model Anganwadis: ‘Saksham Model Anganwadis’ were developed with the aim of child welfare and early childhood development.

   Drinking Water Project: RO plants were installed in public places to ensure safe drinking water.
​Housing Construction: Houses were provided to the homeless through PMAY Grameen and LIFE Mission schemes.

    Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS): Development of rural roads, water conservation works, renovation of ponds and rainwater harvesting were carried out under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
​Women Empowerment: Work sheds, training centres and entrepreneurship support schemes were established to increase women's income and self-employment opportunities.

  Innovative and social development projects implemented this year ​Healthy Harippad: A project aimed at shaping a drug-free and health-conscious youth society. ​Be Positive Harippad Blood Donation Army: A blood donation army formed to promote voluntary blood donation and emergency assistance. ​Shuddhi Project: A project implemented to ensure menstrual hygiene and health awareness among adolescent girls.

​ഈ വർഷം നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ നൂതന-സാമൂഹിക വികസന പദ്ധതികൾ
​ഹെൽത്തി ഹരിപ്പാട് (Healthy Harippad): ലഹരിമുക്തവും ആരോഗ്യബോധവുമുള്ള ഒരു യുവസമൂഹത്തെ വാർത്തെടുക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയുള്ള പദ്ധതി.
​ബീ പോസിറ്റീവ് ഹരിപ്പാട് ബ്ലഡ് ഡൊണേഷൻ ആർമി (Be Positive Harippad Blood Donation Army): സ്വമേധയാ ഉള്ള രക്തദാനവും അടിയന്തിര ഘട്ടങ്ങളിലെ സഹായവും പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി രൂപീകരിച്ച രക്തദാന സേന.
​ശുദ്ധി പ്രോജക്ട് (Shuddhi Project): കൗമാരക്കാരായ പെൺകുട്ടികളിൽ ആർത്തവ ശുചിത്വവും ആരോഗ്യ അവബോധവും ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനായി നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ പദ്ധതി.
​പ്രതിഭ പ്രോജക്ട് (Prathibha Project): ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്ത് പരിധിയിൽ പൂർണ്ണ സാക്ഷരത കൈവരിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ ആരംഭിച്ച പദ്ധതി.
​സൗഖ്യം പ്രോജക്ട് (Soukhyam Project): രോഗങ്ങൾ നേരത്തെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കുന്നതിനും പ്രതിരോധ ആരോഗ്യ സംരക്ഷണത്തിനുമായി കാൻസർ നിർണ്ണയ ക്യാമ്പുകളും ആരോഗ്യ പരിശോധനാ ക്യാമ്പുകളും ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയ പദ്ധതി.
​അരികെ പ്രോജക്ട് (Arike Project): പട്ടികജാതി വിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ ക്ഷേമത്തിനും സമഗ്ര വികസനത്തിനുമായി നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ പദ്ധതി.
​സമഗ്ര & ക്ഷീരശ്രീ പ്രോജക്ടുകൾ (Samagra & Ksheera Sree Projects): കാർഷിക-ക്ഷീര മേഖലകളുടെ വികസനം കൂടുതൽ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ച പദ്ധതികൾ
